About us

The Boltmakers Arms has been at the heart of this wonderful West Yorkshire town for as long as most can remember, with an open fire, walls and cabinets displaying a wonderful collection of music memorabilia and a warm welcome that have remained the same throughout the years. Keighley is a town with a fascinating history, where many Victorian and Edwardian buildings are still in use and nestled alongside more modern developments. The past meets the present here and the two are in harmony.

The Boltmakers Arms too has retained much of its past (the best parts) and is a truly traditional public house. From the quality, award winning ales of Timothy Taylor who have been brewing here since 1858, to the good old fashioned friendly service and our large selection of Malt Whiskies, The Boltmakers is like a trip back to when pubs where all individual and there was no ‘branding’.

Although very much a community house that fills each day with familiar, friendly faces, The Boltmakers has become a favourite too for visitors enjoying the many attractions of the area. From the delights of our incredible railway, where you can step back in time and enjoy a train ride through the heart of Brontë country, to the joy of our brewery and delights of the scenery, Keighley is a pleasure for tourists and The Boltmakers -  a must on any itinerary.
